World Poker Tour Texas Holdem Tournaments: L.A. Poker Classic

Held at the gorgeous Commerce Casino in California, the L.A. Poker Classic is a certified Texas Holdem tournament featuring the biggest and brightest players of the game. It has been part of the prestigious World Poker Tour since its inception in 2002. This is one of the annual major gaming events that contributed to the overall success of poker in recent years.

In the first season of the tour, the tournament featured some of the game's rising superstars. Daniel Rentzer, Andy Bloch, and David Pham spearheaded the final table participants. Bob Stupak, Gus Hansen, and Steve Shkolnik came up with some end game surprises. The event was very exciting from start to finish. A lot of bluffs have been made all throughout the Texas Holdem tournament. In the end, the superiority of Hansen proved to much as he defeated Rentzer for the pot and a guaranteed seat at the WPT Championship.

World Poker Tour season two featured a different story for the L.A. Poker Classic. Right from the very start, the players immediately showed their preparedness to play some real good Texas Holdem competition. Final table participants included Vinny Vinh, Adam Schoenfeld, and Michael Keohan. Antonio Esfandiari, Bill Gazes, and David Benyamine completed the finalists. After engaging Vinh in a neck and neck battle, Esfandiari came up with a glorious win for the $1,399,135-pot.

In the third season, the tournament lived up to its name by delivering another classic finish. Haralabos Voulgaris, Michael Mizrachi, and Erick Lindgren showed the world that they are masters of Texas Holdem poker. Hung La, Harley Hall, and Ted Forrest all gave a very good fight. The final table proved to be too small for these poker superstars. In the end, Mizrachi outclassed and outwitted his opponents for the right to be called L.A. Poker Classic tournament champion.

The fourth season of the World Poker Tour proved to be no different with regards to excitement and competitiveness. Michael Woo, Per Ummer, and J. C. Tran displayed brilliance towards the final table. Steve Simmons, Daniel Quach, and Alan Goehring competed well in the final moments of this Texas Holdem tournament. The final round saw Goehring pinning Quach with stronger hands for the win.

In the World Poker Tour season five, the L.A. Poker Classic Texas Holdem tournament ended with stunning plays and strategies. Paul Wasicka, J. C. Tran, and Eric Hershler were among the top contenders. Chau Giang, Jacobo Fernandez, and David Bach all showed their exemplary skills in the game. At the final round, Hershler dominated Tran with stronger hands for the win.
